ENTERTAINMENT DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY - 18 credits
The Minor in Entertainment Design and 技术 is open to all majors and is designed for students who have an interest in focused coursework in 剧院 or Entertainment Design and 技术, but who choose to major in another discipline. The curriculum is structured in such a way that students will be introduced to all areas of production and may also undertake more focused study in scenery, 照明, 服装, sound/projections or technical direction. The restricted electives are intended to offer relevant interdisciplinary coursework. 学生 who complete the ED&T Minor will be prepared to pursue careers in a variety of production areas in theater, 电视, themed entertainment, 电影, 生活事件, and related industries.
Note: The Entertainment Design and 技术 Minor is not available to students who have declared the 剧院 主要 with a concentration in Entertainment Design and 技术.
Required Courses - 11 credits
- THTR 102 - Introduction to 剧院 Production (3学分)
- THTR 274 - 剧院 技术 (3学分)
- THTR 275 - Introduction to Design (3学分)
Choose one of the following:
- THTR 177 Scenic Stagecraft (2 credits)
- THTR 178 Introduction to Costume and Makeup (2 credits)
Elective Courses - 7 credits
Courses taken in completion of the 剧院 major may not be used to fulfill elective requirements for the Entertainment Design and 技术 minor.
Advanced 剧院 Design and 技术 Courses – 3 credits
Choose one of the following courses:
