辛西娅·R. (Berry) Powers

Cynthia Powers is a native of Gary, 印第安纳州, and earned both a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel from 印第安纳州 State University. She was appointed to the 印第安纳州 State University Board of Trustees as an alumni trustee in 2017 and reappointed in 2021. After graduating from college, Cynthia joined the staff at 印第安纳州 University Northwest as a counselor, and Mamon joined his father as an engineer and project manager at Powers and Sons Construction Company. Trustee Powers has served in leadership roles for numerous civic, 慈善, educational and cultural organizations in Northwest 印第安纳州. She previously served on the ISU Alumni Board and the President’s National Advisory Board. In addition to the ISU Board of Trustees, she currently serves on the Board of Advisors for 印第安纳州 University Northwest, the Lubeznik Center of Arts, and the Northwest 印第安纳州 Council of the United Negro College Fund for which she was a cofounder. In addition, she is a member of the Northern 印第安纳州 Chapter of the Links and a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Her efforts have received a number of accolades including being inducted into The Times of Northwest 印第安纳州’s Business and Industry Hall of Fame and earning 印第安纳州 State’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
